Efficiency

Is your business efficient? I can't say that mine always is. But, lately I've been striving to find ways to be more efficient - not only in running my business, but in running my household, too.

So, I'm streamlining. Trying to get "back to the basic" (or at least out from underneath the clutter!). I've been going through all of our closets and drawers, giving away (and throwing away) anything we haven't used in a year. I figure if it hasn't been used in a year, then I won't remember it's there even if I do "need" it someday. I've also been scouring the internet, looking for ways to make my business run more efficiently and for ways to encourage other CWAHMs with their businesses. (I will share some of these ideas in weeks to come...)

This search for "efficiency" reminded me of a verse: "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.." Colossians 3:23 (NKJV) We are to be running our businesses and households to be pleasing to God and not to be worried about what others might think. Sometimes it's hard to run a business from a Christian perspective - trying to do the best for your customers. The world does not approach business this way. But, this is what we are called to do.

I challenge you to take a look at how you're running your business (and your household). Is it pleasing to the Lord? If you're not sure, just ask Him for direction. He'll be glad to hear from you!
